Distress: A Mental Health Film

In Early 2017, I created my first short film. The Brief was simple, to make something that would suit the Brief of the 2017 NOW Festival. The Brief for this year was based on the rights of the Child, focussing on the rights discussed by the UNCRC. I was lead in any technical decisions that needed to be decided for the film.

The Biggest challenge was to create believable “Flashbacks” to the past of the main protagonist in the film. This involved a long period of time perfecting the reverb. The final effect allowed the audience to feel almost like they were almost experiencing the ordeal from the view of the person.
